Multi Currency Store

Everything you need to get up and running with our Multi Currency Store plugin!

Checking out with different currencies

Similar to the cart, prices and totals throughout the checkout process will be shown in the currency currently being shown to the user. The prices will be output using the formatting settings for that currency.

Internally, the plugin will convert the prices of the products, recalculate the order totals and set the currency of the order at which point it will hand control back to Woocommerce to continue with the checkout process and payment.

How payments work

As mentioned, the plugin will simply modify the order with the converted prices and the new currency and hand control back to Woocommerce which will then send the order details to your payment processor to process the payment.

Provided your payment processor is able to process payments in the currency that Woocommerce would have passed to it, then payment will occur as normal.

However, what happens if your payment processor is unable to process payments in the currency passed depends on the payment processor themselves and how they handle such a scenario.

For example, some payment processors will convert the amount to a currency that they can process and will take payment in that currency, where as others will reject the request all together. Make sure that the payment processor that you use can handle payment in all currencies that you add to your store.

Remember...The plugin doesn't process any part of the payment process. If payment is failing for a particular currency, check to see that your payment processor can accept payments in that currency and what measures are in place if a currency that they cannot process in passed to them.
