Purchase Limits

Everything you need to get up and running with our Purchase Limits plugin!

Setting a value limit for all categories

A value limit for all categories will require customers to have the minimum or maximum value of products in the their cart from each category. To set a value limit for all categories in your store, do the following:

  1. Navigate to Wooommerce > Settings
  2. Select the Purchase Limits tabs and then the Category Limits section
  3. Under the Category Value Limits heading, make sure that the Enabled checkbox is checked

Note...If the Enabled checkbox is not checked, the category limits will not be applied

  4. Set the Global value limit setting to Use global value limit for all categories
  5. Enter a minimum and/or a maximum limit that you want to be applied in the Min and Max fields
  6. Click save

Remember...This will set a value limit for all categories. If you only want a limit set for one (or a few) categories you will need to set an individual limit for each category. See the Setting a Value Limit for Individual Categories section for more information.

With global category limit set, if users have not met the limits for each category they will be notified when adding products to the cart and on the cart page using the errors and messages defined in the Add to cart messages and Cart page errors settings.
