Writing your own page titles and meta descriptions

Each category can have its own page title and meta description added to it which will be used instead of whatever has been generated from the templates that you would have added.

  1. Navigate to Products > Categories in the sidebar.
  2. Select a category that you want to add a custom page title and meta description for.
  3. The plugin will add some extra fields under the Woocommerce SEO heading underneath the default date fields added by Woocommerce.
  4. To enter a custom page title and/or meta description, ensure that the Title and Meta drop down is set to Use Custom Template.
  5. Enter the custom page title and meta description that you would like for this category.
  6. Click save.

Note...Just like the templates, you can also use tags in custom page title and meta descriptions for categories. The available tags are shown below the page title and meta description fields.
