Purchase Limits

To set a value limit for one or more individual categories, do the following:

1. Navigate to Wooommerce > Settings
2. Select the Purchase Limits tabs and then the Category Limits section
   
3. Under the Category Value Limits heading, make sure that the Enabled checkbox is checked
4. Set the Global quantity limit setting to Use value limit defined in each individual category

   Watch out...The Enabled checkbox and the Value limit setting must be set for the settings fields to appear under an individual category.

5. Click save
   
6. Now navigation to Products > Categories and select a category
7. You will now see a new Value Purchase Limits heading under the default category fields
8. Enter the minimum and/or maximum value limit that you want in the Value Limits setting
   
9. Click save

Note...If the global setting is set to use the global limit, you will have the option to override this limit with the individual limit by setting the 'Override global limit' checkbox (See image above).

With a value limit set on a category, if users have not met the limits for this category they will be notified when adding products to the cart and on the cart page using the errors and messages defined in the Add to cart messages and Cart page errors settings.
